Oil Pastel Flower Drawing Tutorial Easy
In this video I wanted to break down the idea of working with a limited palette and, beyond that, working with analogous colors vs. complementary colors to create shadows. We’ll use both techniques in this video and I wanted to break down my thought process behind each technique and why/when we use them before I show you the process.
For the drawing process itself, I decided to try a more “edited” version of the full video. The real time drawing took me over one and a half hours to complete as I explored and mixed and lay down the oil pastels. I enjoyed the process immensely but watching the unedited footage back was rather repetitive, so I cut it down. Please let me know what you think of this style of video. It’s a little easier to edit and produce, as you can imagine, and if it would be just as enjoyable, I would like to include more of this style mixed in.
