This fine art course specifically focuses on shading techniques using a pencil—also known as “clean line shading” (if you are also interested in ink shading techniques, my bundled course may be a better fit for you!).
In this course we build off of the knowledge and skill we acquired in the Botanical Drawing Course (a HIGHLY recommended prerequisite) and explore the art of illusions and making our drawings come to live in a whole new way! We start at the very beginning and quickly dive into advanced drawing techniques that combine what I learned during my college courses and 10 years of experience as a professional illustrator. Yes, this is college level content without the stress or hefty loans!

What Kind Of Flowers Do You Teach Us To Draw?
The principles and techniques that you learn in this course will help you to draw any flower (and really, all subjects) with more confidence and proficiency. I’m pretty anti-”formula”, so I will not be showing you a step-by-step, cookie cutter method of drawing a flower. I would rather teach you how to draw anything you want than teach you how to become a mini “Katrina”.
Will There Be Homework?
Yes! The update includes homework for each class, given at the end of the instruction (and repeated in the description of the video so that it’s easy to find). The original course does not include specific homework
How Long Is Each Lesson?
Between 10 and 60 minutes depending on the lesson and how complex it is. The largest time commitment will be applying what you have learned in each lesson—if you will commit to doing the homework and take careful notes, your skill and technique will develop quickly

Why A Private “YouTube” Course?
There are multiple reasons that I decided to host my course on YouTube, but the biggest one is that I can keep my classes at an affordable price for you. If I am working with a third party host, there are some wonderful features that we could implement, but the cost of this class would be almost double so that I don’t loose money on the courses each month.
