Watercolor Peony Tutorial | My Favorite Blending Technique
Come behind the scenes with me as I create this watercolor peony tutorial. While I lost some of the footage for this tutorial, I am still able to share one of my favorite blending techniques (using two brushes instead of one!) and how I disperse deep, bold pigment with minimal layers. We also chat a bit about how I show depth in my watercolor paintings and things to look for when you’re trying to add variety to your composition. I hope you love these watercolor peonies as much as I do! They are probably my favorite from the entire series that I created for the Wall calendar, but maybe it’s my old fashioned love for those big, floppy petals!
The art supplies that I have used (as well as those that I would recommend if I was starting my stash from scratch) are all linked down below along with a few other items that I mentioned in the video—I hope that this watercolor tutorial was helpful and I would love to hear more about what you would like to see in future videos and tutorials!
