Unique Pregnancy Announcement — Maternity Portrait

Maybe it's because I love a good surprise that I am obsessed with unique pregnancy announcements—especially when I get to be a part of it!  How did you announce your pregnancy to the world? Or did you have a fun, unique gender reveal?  I am a true woman when it comes to this kind of thing—I love hearing stories about different experiences and fun surprises.

Other than creating the artwork itself, my favorite part of my job is being able to celebrate different seasons of life with people.  The majority of what I do revolves around weddings, but I also have beautiful moments with the fresh excitement of an engagement, the sweet and patient love of an anniversary, celebrating a life that has passed, or the unquenchable joy of an expanding family.  The lovely couple above just celebrated their daughter's first birthday, but I am still drawn to this sweet moment of quiet anticipation, love and hope.

A maternity shoot or illustration is extra special to me.  Maybe because I am married and we have not been blessed with a child yet.  Or maybe it is because the same love that we saw on their wedding day has blossomed into something much richer and deeper—something that is ready to give of itself and welcome baby into it's mist.  Something that is ready to multiply.
