Heron Wax Seal & Costal Wedding Suite
The beautiful heron. I’m so inspired by the graceful movements, strength and respect that this beautiful coastal bird demands. I’ve seen many over the years (helps to grow up in a state famous for it’s lakes), and they always cause me to pause and watch quietly. While “Costal” is not usually the way someone would describe my aesthetic, I was challenged to fit that bill with my latest design and immediately thought of a Heron. I was uncomfortable, if I’m being honest, but accepted the challenge!
When creating this Heron wax seal stamp, I wanted to capture that same feeling. I wanted the strength of the heron to show through, the graceful body to remain free of stiff or awkward movements and a sense of awe to accompany him. Hopefully I’ve accomplished that, but regardless, I’m thrilled to finally make this stamp available!
The finishing touch is the 3D body. A 3D wax seal is probably every designers dream, and after the success of my Vintage Peony stamper, I knew that I wanted to add another to my collection (even if it is just for my own deep love of it). Heron was designed specifically with the 3D wax seal process in mind and his graceful form is really shown off with the extra sculpting.
I’m so excited to have this beauty join my wax seal collection! I hope you love it as much as I do.

And of course, what new wax seal stamper is complete without a beautiful wedding invitations suite to go with it?! While I’m no longer in the wedding industry, I can’t help but dip my toes in once in a while and create a suite that has been dancing around in my head. This suite with the watercolor vellum wrap seascape / landscape was the perfect way to show off the simple strength of the Heron wax seal. Thankfully it doubled as an envelope liner beautifully. Paired with some organic, handmade paper and whimsical calligraphy (thanks, Melinda!), the raw and untamed beauty of this suite was complete.
While this envelope liner is currently on hold for potential licensing, I’m considering making it available as a printable envelope liner or vellum wrap in the future (pending exclusivity in future contracts). If you’re interested, feel free to reach out!

I was fortunate enough to work with my dear friends to create some styled images using the Heron wax seal. While I enjoyed styling the photos shown earlier (and creating the suite for it), I love the vibe that they captured for the same stamper—showing off how versatile it is and how effortlessly the Heron stamper can shift from one scene to another and still show off.
